Jurrjens perfect for 3 innings

Jair Jurrjens pitched 3 perfect innings in his second Grapefruit League start. What’s probably most impressive is that he picked up 9 outs on only 25 pitches.
Bobby Cox was quite impressed:
“He’s got great pitches, with outstanding maturity on the mound — and control,” Cox said, emphasizing that final word.

Jurrjens season ends on disappointing note

In Jurrjens last start of the year he surrendered 4 first inning runs to the Minnesota Twins as he struggled to find the strike zone.
He walked 3, allowed 3 hits, and tossed a very wild pitch in a tumultuous first inning.  In all Jurrjens threw 41 pitches in that first inning.  And you wouldn’t know [...]
