Jurrjens rates on BP Top 100

Hampton’s injury woes continue - more opportunity for Jurrjens

Jurrjens now a Brave

Harrumph. Jair Jurrjens is now an Atlanta Brave. The Tigers shipped Jurrjens and centerfielder Gorkys Hernandez to Atlanta for shortstop Edgar Renteria. Jurrjens to skip fall league

Jair Jurrjens was originally slated to pitch in the Arizona Fall League. His additional work with the Tigers in September means that he’s pitched plenty already this season so the Tigers will send Macay McBride instead.

JJ Goes 5 1/3 innings of no hit ball

Tremendous start for Jair Jurrjens against the Minnesota Twins today. He didn’t allow his first hit until there was one out in the 6th inning. His final line includes 5 1/3 innings of work, 2 hits, 1 run, 1 walk, and a career high 6 strike outs on 90 pitches.
